Virtualization

VisuComm's goal is to help you save time and money by using state-of-the-art Virtualization technologies. You can save money on hardware costs and operating costs by “virtualizing” portions of your IT infrastructure.

By running several servers in what are termed “virtual machines” on a single server you can have all the benefits of running multiple servers (i.e. application segmentation etc.) but realize all the savings of having to buy only one set of physical hardware, having to pay for the power to run one server, having to cool the heat from one server among other benefits.

VisuComm has some of the most extensive experience in the use of Virtualization technologies you can find anywhere.

Various VisuComm personnel and non-employee contracted professionals VisuComm uses have been using Virtualization Technologies for literally decades. In some cases they have been using VM tech for decades longer than most IT Pros have known about it. They have experience ranging from Mainframe based VM’s thru early PC based VM’s in the late 1980’s. They were some of the beta testers of the original versions of VMWare and Virtual PC in the late 1990’s. Their experience was increased as modern Hypervisors that currently run on Windows Desktops & Servers, on Bare Metal servers, on clusters were released and perfected. And now they are developing “virtual” environments and solutions on even those platforms now hosted in the “Cloud.”

That being said, virtualization can be done well or done poorly and it doesn’t help you or your company or save you money if it is done poorly.

If you want to get the most out of all the advantages that can be had from running a Virtual Environment, give us a call and let’s see what makes sense in your case.
